What You'll Do:

As part of the Omni Retail Solutions Team, you will play a critical role in our Sales organization, acting as our brand ambassadors and product experts to our amazing network of retail partners promoting the most iconic brands in the industry.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
  • Become an expert in the fast-paced sleep industry, which will require you to lean heavily on your knowledge of mattresses and bedding.
  • Visit our retail partner store door locations with frequency to conduct a variety of group and individual training sessions to Retail Store Associates (RSAs).
  • Develop retailer-tailored training programs and follow-up practice sessions for a variety of RSA audiences, including how RSAs can increase their overall compensation by selling SSB products.
  • Educate the retail floor sales staff on the features, benefits, and advantages of SSB products while ensuring that our products and marketing messages are positively represented to consumers shopping at our retail partners’ stores.
  • Build and foster relationships with critical stakeholders that will result in positive growth for both SSB and our valued retail partners.
  • Utilize effective facilitation and presentation skills when speaking to both small and large groups, in-person and virtually.
How You'll Do It:

Operating as the interface between our retail partners’ stores and Serta Simmons Bedding in an assigned geographic territory, you will be accountable for delivering impactful and inspiring sales and product training to the many Retail Store Associates (RSAs) that we service. Your main goal should be to win the hearts and minds of RSAs that you service to build brand advocacy and drive our retail partner’s topline revenue growth!

  • Manage territory and achieve targeted visit frequencies by key accounts within assigned territory.
  • Track and manage calls and store visits, providing feedback on products and business building opportunities (e.g., merchandising, floor placement, advertising, etc.) to grow our mutual businesses. As you become a trusted partner to the RSAs in your assigned territory, you can expect to receive phone calls throughout the day requesting your assistance with product comparisons, or even to help close a sale!
  • Collect and utilize various types of store-level data (e.g., sales, share, RSA surveys, etc.) and collaborate with retail partner store and regional leadership to develop action plans to improve performance at opportunity stores.
What We Are Dreaming Of:

  • Someone with proven experience in selling high ticket products directly to consumers and knows how to coach a diverse audience on how to sell, ideally in bedding, furniture, durables, or other premium consumer products.
  • Inspirational, memorable, and engaging presentation skills (to small and large groups), both in-person and virtual.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of retailer economics and how to identify business opportunities and tailor training and messaging to best appeal and influence retail partners.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years training and/or retail selling experience with strong preference towards the bedding, furniture, durables, or other premium consumer product categories.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships, with associated positive business results.
  • Valid state driver’s license and being comfortable with up to 90% travel within assigned territory. Travel in most territories is almost always by car and you can expect to spend almost every night at home. Some overnight/holiday/weekends to accommodate retail partner schedules.
