Roberts Oxygen a leading distributor of industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related equipment is actively seeking a dedicated and committed Field Service Technician from either our Springfield, VAlocation or our Marlow Heights, MD location.

Are you a Match?

The ideal Field Service Technician is responsible for providing timely and accurate installation, maintenance and repairs of compressed gas container and piping systems. Driving and making deliveries is also required on an as needed basis. This position requires excellent customer service by collaborating diligently and expeditiously with Operations, Sales, Distribution and customers daily.

Qualifications and requirements will include but are not limited to:

• Two years’ experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic systems, or cryogenic equipment installation and repairs field is preferred.
• Experience with Chart Trifecta, Data Online telemetry, or Acme pressure building systems is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to system requirements detail is required.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 100lbs., ability to move larger weights on appropriately designed handcarts.
• Ability to twist and bend frequently.
• Ability to work safely on ladders, man-lifts and other similar raised elevation equipment, as well as safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and give meticulous attention to detail of situations and documentation.
• High School education or equivalent required.
• Ability to use technology such as a personal computer, handheld proof of service devices, mobile phones, mapping software or other technologies required and not in use at this time.
• CDL Class B is required; ability to obtain Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, within six months of hire date is required.
• Excellent driving record, and if selected, ability to pass pre-screenings.
