Field Support Technician

Passport Technology is a leading developer of technology-based solutions and services for the highly regulated payments, gaming, and financial services markets. A successful Field Service Technician candidate can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service Technician job duties including:

Positions Available:

· Redlands, CA

Responsibilities:

· Become knowledgeable in Passport services and products

· Install/Upgrade equipment maintained by the company in various locations

· Configure hardware and software components after installation

· Perform routine maintenance on equipment

· Test equipment to troubleshoot issues

· Document installation and repairs

· Maintain all tools and equipment during service calls

· Teach clients how to use equipment properly

Qualifications:

· Strong customer service skills

· Written and verbal communications skills to understand issues customers have and to explain technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner

· Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems

· Time management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule

· Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports relating to repairs

· Networking and PC skills

· Proven leadership, decision making, and organizational skills

· Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skill

· Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field

· Computer and technical skills to understand the equipment fully

· Handy with tools
