Location Note: This position is initially out of our Wakefield, MA office for approximately 90 days during the training period with an opportunity for a HYBRID schedule once training is complete.

We are seeking a knowledgeable, team–oriented professional to work on the Sentinel Finance team. The position’s primary focus will be owning the monthly, quarterly and annual billing processes with a secondary focus on accounts receivables. The role requires the candidate to take ownership of the billing system and all integrated data involved with all of our offered product lines. When billing processes are not occurring the position will assist other finance team members in processing bank activity across multiple bank accounts as well as participation in various ad hoc projects as needed.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Manage Billing System:
- Set-up new clients in billing system
- Invoice Processing for Health and Welfare , Pension and Institutional Advisory Services
- Maintenance of relevant data related to billing across multiple applications
- Fee Adjustments, Data Integrations, Contact Updates etc.
- Accounts Receivable Administration:
- Assist in posting of daily activity/transactions for multiple bank accounts
- Direct contact for internal/external inquiries regarding unpaid client balances
- A/R reconciliations and other analysis as required
- Process transactions in Plan by Plan Module in correlation with A/R duties above
- Complete/monitor various internal requests and updates via ticketing portal
- Testing system upgrades
- Work with Finance team in Month-end/Quarter-end Reporting
What you need to have:
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Business Administration
- 1-3 years experience in Finance and/or accounting environment of similar nature to role
- Experience in billing retirement, advisory or health care services preferred, but not required
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics preferred, but not required
- Average to advance skills in Microsoft Excel
- General ability to learn other custom or standard software / applications as needed
Nice to haves:
- Tech-Savvy – Ability to quickly adapt to new technology & comfort working with proprietary software
- General understanding of GAAP
