Under general direction, the incumbent shall:
- Develop models for reporting data, forecasting results, and performing complex analysis
- Analyze and evaluate data of all types, create dashboards using business intelligence tools, produce reports and presentations of results with visualizations
- Manage research data projects of the most complex, sensitive, and critical level originating from the enterprise planning process
- Enhance usability of templates, develop automated reporting if possible, and make recommendations for creating value-added reports
The ideal candidate will also be skilled at the following:
- Manage multiple highly complex analysis & projects
- Digital competencies; data visualization, ML/predictive modeling, digital fluency, coding acumen, process automation, etc.
- Thorough attention to detail with superb analytical, researching, data gathering and reporting skills
- Fluent with MS Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Exceptional time management skills
This position has an option to telework and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs. Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment
Minimum Qualifications:
Incumbentsmustpossess 12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field. This must include at least one course in statistical methods; and
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree. Work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by applicants who have the required units mentioned above.
