Overview:
The purpose of this job is to generate fee income through the marketing of investment products to institutional and retail customers in an effort to satisfy customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining contacts for the sale of personal investment products by participating in a customer call-in program to existing & prospective customers and maintaining a high level of profitable sales
- Determining specific customer needs and ensuring that appropriate transactions are executed
- Maintaining up to date familiarity with the current investment products portfolio to ensure optimum marketing potential and Keeping informed of personal investment product market trends and issues, developments affecting markets & customer needs
- Providing advice to customers on personal investment products/purchases by informing them of current market trends and recommending appropriate investment strategies.
- Four year college education
- Series 7 and 63, 65 or 66 securities licenses
- Life Insurance license
- Knowledge of Markets-stocks & bonds
- Knowledge of Economics-employment, indicators, business trends, interest rates
- Fundamental accounting-financial statements
- Knowledge of required regulations and laws affecting transactions
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Selling skills
