Overview


As a Financial Planning Associate you will embrace technology, enjoy a collaborative environment, and hold in high regard serving clients in a fiduciary capacity. You will work in our financial planning department with experienced financial planners, collaborating with financial advisors, to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions to our clients. This opportunity will allow you to develop and gain access to outstanding market and growth opportunities while adding stability and capacity to the overall business operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the Financial Planning Department, conducting financial planning research and assisting in the preparation of customized comprehensive financial plans and portfolios for clients
  • Gain a thorough understanding of each client’s financial situation to help create and deliver suitable investment strategies
  • Coordinate client service needs with internal and external team members and provide support to the overall client experience
  • Stay abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of financial planning and investments
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures
  • Complete the necessary training and experience to obtain your CFP® certification and/or maintain required designations
  • Perform ongoing financial planning analysis to include cash flow, retirement & estate planning, and tax optimization

Qualifications:

  • CFP® Designation or CFP® candidate preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Business, Economics or Financial Planning
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of financial planning and/or client relationship management experience
  • Foundational knowledge of key financial planning concepts
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and exceptional follow through
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player
  • The ability to think clearly, communicate succinctly, and write well
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Fundamental knowledge and hands on experience working with financial planning software
