General Description: Oversees the development and growth of the Company’s financial news, including paid subscription newsletters and products. Publisher interacts with editorial, graphics, video, accounting, marketing, legal, IT, call center, email team, and other departments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A wide degree of creativity is expected.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the editorial product of company’s financial news and newsletter division
• Directing and developing paid and free newsletters in the areas of stocks, bonds, precious metals, economic trends and more
• Supervising editors and division product managers
• Working with copywriters to develop marketing material
• Working with the editorial team to create strong newsletters
• Interacting with the graphics team with the layout of the newsletters
• Working with the marketing team to promote and sell paid newsletters
• Business oversight to insure division profitability

Position Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred but not required
• Min. 5 years of direct marketing experience via email, online networks, TV, radio and/or direct mail
• High attention to detail and the ability to audit his/her own work for accuracy and quality
• The ability to work independently, be self-motivated and results-oriented but still be an excellent team player
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills including a basic understanding of marketing/retention metrics
• A strong grasp for financial and investment news
• Knowledge of the financial newsletter industry
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high priority initiatives
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, planning, and project management skills with individuals at both peer and management levels
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs
• A creative thinker able to develop new ideas for growing reach and impact
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and time-management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 per year
