Job description

PE Teachers are responsible for advancing their students’ physical ability and knowledge of sports. They are responsible for the welfare of their students and for ensuring that students can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school. Their key duties and responsibilities include:

• Planning age appropriate lessons for students ages 1-10 based on their mobility and agility levels.
• Offering students time to stretch, do breathing exercises, warm up and cool down as necessary.Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
• Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
• Motivating school children to try new sports
• Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
• Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

• Huntsville, AL 35806: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• AED Certification (Preferred)
