The Fleet and Commercial Director is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in our market areas. He/She will be responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territories to positively impact revenues dealing with small business to large corporate owners and purchasing agents.
The Fleet and Commercial position requires great responsibility and professionalism as they are typically the first point of contact with prospective customers, and are responsible for meeting sales quotas while ensuring profitability. Position Requirements: While entry-level positions are often available, previous sales or automotive experience is a strong plus. Municipal and governmental procurement working with the works, water, sewer, police, fire, ambulance, emergency services, and other county business is encouraged. Excellent communication skills are vital, as well as current knowledge of all dealership products, features, and municipal incentive programs-including those of the competition.
Qualifications:
- Two year or Four year college degree preferred
- At least one year of automotive sales experience or relative field required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license for Pennsylvania
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. and to adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised to potential clients
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic
- Solicit assigned accounts to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and to improve performance in the marketplace
- Make sales appointments and calls to consistently prospect accounts
You would assist and train to eventually take over a book of business that spans decades. Our current clientele would be just the beginning. We represent Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Kia and Nissan, giving you the edge to be a full service point of contact from small to large accounts. Yearly earning would be limitless!
