Role Summary:
As the Chemsure Manager, you will be responsible for a $15MM program consisting of a chemical
delivery operation supporting customers across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will
be developing, guiding, and facilitating the day to day activities for the Chemsure Planning team, as
well as planning and implementing projects designed to optimize the operation and overall supply
chain. With support from functions across the business, you will manage the daily operation of the
fleet, drive the execution of capital investments, and make key strategic decisions based on
changing markets and demand.
Essential Functions
As the Chemsure Planning Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for supervising and facilitating the daily activities of a team of six, who are
- Manage escalations regarding delivery schedules and customer needs (~25,000 orders annually)
- Use your experience or expertise to solve fulfillment problems.
- Help identify opportunities to optimize loads, schedules, and delivery networks across 6 plants
- Accommodate new business opportunities by growing the fleet’s capacity and developing new
- Develop and execute objectives focused on digitization and supply chain optimization
- Support coverage for 3 rd party carrier volume
- Drive and implement digitization opportunities, including the optimal usage of newly designed
store.
- Identify and implement saving opportunities related to cycle time reduction & productivity
- Continue monitoring key operational and cost metrics, proactively making key decisions to meet
- Focus on maximizing productivity and asset utilization of Fleet.
- Manage & communicate order delivery requirements to delivery specialists and manufacturing
- Manage & communicate order statuses to commercial team through appropriate channels
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Business, or
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Logistics / Operations
- High-level of energy and ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Experience managing operations or programs
- Knowledge and experience with logistics practices and DOT regulatory requirements
- Experience using excel for reporting and analytics
- Demonstrated experience working and making decisions independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others and lead teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Demonstrated willingness and desire to acquire new, essential knowledge to help improve
- Strong computer skills (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
- Studies in Operations, Logistics or other Business Management related fields
- Knowledge of Veolia's Water Technologies and Solutions chemicals product lines
- Solid understanding of SAP functionalities
- Knowledge of People Net
- Knowledge of Tableau a plus
