Job Summary

This position is a crew member assigned to work on well servicing unit responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells. Duties include performing service operations from an elevated position (rod basket or tubing board), working at floor level, assisting in rigging up, picking up or laying down pipe and rods, and other functions as specified by the Company or rig operator.

Responsibilities

Assist operator in rigging up or down

Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up or down and removing horse head

Responsible for all work performed from rod basket or tubing board

Perform all manual labor tasks on the pulling unit floor

Drives crew truck as needed

Can also drive pulling unit with valid CDL

Operates tongs, tubing elevators, slips, rod wrenches, and hand tools

Assists in picking up and laying down tubing and rods

Identifies safety hazards and reports them to supervisor

Ensures work is carried in a compliant and safe manner with company policy and regulations

Required to work floors, derrick, and run rig when needed

Able to carry items weighing up to 100 lbs

Able to stand and walk for up to 4 hours at a time

Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl throughout the work shift

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times

Performs other duties as assigned

Able to maintain clean work eq;uipment and take pride in equipment

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3+ years of experience

Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written in English

Ability to work with others in a team environment

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Basic problem solving skills and organizational skills

Valid driver’s license
