Presbyterian Home & Retirement Community is currently seeking experienced individuals to serve as Floor Technicians, Housekeepers and Laundry Aides which will provide these necessary services throughout the facility.

$500.00 Signing Bonus - for eligible Full Time hires

Floor Technicians and Housekeepers will be responsible for providing major floor cleaning, refinishing functions and housekeeping services.

Laundry Aides will be responsible for providing laundry services to ensure that facility and resident laundry needs are provided in a quality manner.

All services must be performed in accordance with the standards set by the department and in support of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia's mission, vision, and values.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

• Performs floor care and/or housekeeping functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Strips and waxes floors and hard-surface areas as assigned.
• Maintains floors by spray buffing, burnishing, or shower-scrubbing and top-coating.
• Shampoos carpets and removes smaller spots and stains.
• Follows departmental safety procedures in sectioning of work area with the proper barriers and signage.
• Maintains cleanliness of areas, including removal of trash and linen bags, meeting room set-up, and delivering any necessary equipment.
• Provide quality housekeeping and cleaning services to all campus areas, such as resident rooms, hallways, lounge areas, stairways, bathrooms, etc.
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness

• Providing services to ensure clean laundry linens, clothing, etc.
• Ensure laundry items are folded, stored or delivered properly

• Complies with procedures for handling, mixing, use of labeling, and disposal of all chemicals used in performing job functions.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports the need for repair.
• Respond to customer needs and special requests in a positive customer service manner at all times
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products including housekeeping supplies, rubber gloves, goggles, etc.
• Participate in large cleaning projects as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
• Performs all assigned duties and tasks in an effective, efficient manner and in compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements that govern the operations of the department and facility.
• Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe resident care and services and promotes a safe environment.

Skills

• A strong focus on Customer Service.
• Work experience as a Floor Technician, Housekeeping, Laundry or similar role
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and housekeeping or Laundry tasks for large organizations, such as hotels, hospitals, etc. is a plus
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed/scheduled
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working in Housekeeping, Floor Technician or Laundry positions in hotels, hospitals, healthcare facilities or similar businesses
