Pharmacist, Prescriber and Patient Outreach

DiRx, an emerging digital health company is seeking pharmacists partner with us in developing a caring, empathetic, and personal experience for our pharmacy customers. Pharmacists are responsible for assisting our customers in understanding their prescriptions, answering questions, and working with prescribers to help our customers get the generic medications they need delivered right to their door.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail, the ability to coach and mentor our pharmacy technicians and monitor their performance, flexibility, a willingness to learn, and be at ease with change. Our pharmacists are an integral part in our ability to deliver solutions to our customers to make maintaining their health easier by making sure the generic drugs they need are affordable and easy to obtain.

This position is remote. However, the position requires residence in FL. There is no requirement for presence at our physical pharmacy location. Additionally, the pharmacist will work in our Prescriber and Patient Outreach team.

This position is full-time and the hours of work being 8am-4pm ET or 9am-5pm ET. This position also requires working a Saturday shift in rotation with other pharmacists.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform regular pharmacy related functions such as interpreting prescriptions from prescribers, contacting prescribers or patients to verify information on prescription orders, and expediting processing of orders.
  • Call pharmacies to transfer in or transfer out prescriptions as needed.
  • Track order status and perform timely follow up on outstanding issues and consult with patients regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
  • Take calls from patients on issues such as medication related questions, lost orders, dispensing errors, maintain daily production quality and levels for service, adjust work priorities according to business needs.
  • Verify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry.
  • Provide training to lesser trained pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
  • Provide oversight to technicians and review for quality assurance.
  • Back up other pharmacists or pharmacy staff with order entry, prescription refill authorizations, telephone lines, to ensure efficient support to patients.
  • Ensure that the pharmacy is compliant with all local, state and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Active License in State of FL - Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Knowledge of Liberty Software is a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to learn new computer systems and adapt to new processes.
  • Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in start-up environments will be preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Possess problem solving skills.
  • Must be flexible to work up to two (2) Saturdays per month and occasional extra time as needed.
