FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR
Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
Accountable to coordinate food service activities of restaurant/bar operations. Confers with food preparation & other personnel from the dining room, bar, kitchen and banquets to plan service, review menus & other related activities. Oversees cleaning & maintenance of equipment and facilities and ensures that all liquor, health & safety regulations are adhered to. Promotes and practices “I Care” program on a daily basis.
FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Resolves guest complaints, promptly & efficiently.- Monitors personnel to insure compliance of proper food preparation, portioning, presentation & quality.
- Supervises bar operations to maximize profitability, minimize liabilities and conforms to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission of the state of Arizona.
- Monitors & maintains labor costs within budgeted parameters on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
- Supervises cleaning & maintenance of furniture, fixtures & equipment. Arranges for repairs as necessary.
- Inspects Dining Rooms, Lounges, Arcade, Food Preparation areas, Receiving & Storage areas to ensure that Health & Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- May be responsible for assisting in the development of marketing for F&B and for implementation of promotional campaigns as assigned.
- Submits Team Members Performance Reviews in a timely manner as assigned.
- Receives & checks deliveries to ensure they adhere to specifications.
- Cash handling procedures are followed closely & correctly.
- Monitors specific inventory levels on a daily, weekly, monthly basis as requested.
- Monitors opening & closing procedures of outlets & personnel.
- Communicates freely with other staff members on a daily basis.
- Enforces the policies & procedures in a consistent manner, as required by the Grand Canyon Squire Inn, the State of Arizona & Federal Laws.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to rarely climb, bend, drive, crouch, throw, kneel, or balance- Ability to occasionally twist, stand, or walk
- Ability to occasionally push/pull a maximum weight of up to 50 lbs.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
Employment Eligibility for the United States
High School graduate or equivalent required- Excellent customer /employee relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Food and Beverage Department.
