Job Description Summary

Collaborates with Research, Innovation, Regulatory Affairs, Plant Operations, Quality Operations, Procurement and other Food Protection functions.
Job Description
- Create and provide ongoing document control to several Department SharePoint Site Collections including the Food Protection Manual.
- Develop and maintain process automation using available technologies in support of Food Safety processes.
- Participate and contribute in cross functional teams to assure effective implementation of safety and quality initiatives and processes.
- Gather and study data to understand trends and issues in order to provide input to decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Assist and support others in the organization within assigned technical areas of responsibility.
- Act as Research and Food Safety Department technology advocate.
- Provide technical and decision-making support and/or data analysis in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety.
- Collaborate and provide technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure, food safety and quality of Lamb Weston products.
- Gauge and evaluate effectiveness and assure continuous improvements in assigned areas of responsibility.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Business, Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year industry experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year IT industry experience preferred.(HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PowerFX) .
- Knowledge in Data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of GS1 standard, BlockChain
- Programming experience in JAVA, ABAP for SAP in the future (since we are transitioning to SAP).
- Experience in SAP, requisitioner
- Knowledge of food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility preferred.
- Sound writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Site Administration
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Must be able to travel independently as a Lamb Weston representative
Physical Requirements:
- Office
- Sitting for up to 8 hours a day
- Plant
- Walking/Standing on various plant surfaces for up to 8 hours a day
- Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
- Pushing/pulling various plant materials and/or equipment
- Will maneuver in cramped/confined spaces
- Frequent bending and/or crawling; must be able to move safely and freely around machinery
- Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
- Will have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products
- Driving a company or rental vehicle for up to 8 hours as needed
