Job Details for Food QA Manager:

• Monday-Friday, 6am start
• 8-10 hour shifts
• Located in Reading, PA towards Hamburg
• Starting $105,000-130,000/year

Job Responsibilities & Description for Food QA Manager:

• Maintains compliance with federal, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies and assures the accuracy of USDA, FDA, and HACCP records
• Works directly with department managers, procurement, and HR
• Provides leadership and mentoring to QA team members
• Responsible for development, revisions, maintenance, and enforcement of ongoing compliance of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOP's (Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintain all relevant policies, procedures, training, and documentation necessary to meet compliance

Job Requirements for Food QA Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Agricultural/Manufacturing related field required
• Minimum 5 years of equivalent supervisory experience required; poultry industry preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Food related QA experience, meat and poultry industries preferred
• Advanced knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, Federal / State/Local and International food safety legislation.
• Knowledge of GFSI audits, Animal Welfare audits, and the review process of such audits, to maintain and improve the Food Safety and Quality functions.
• Knowledge of USDA regulatory matters, such as labeling, processing animal welfare, USDA facility pre-requisite programs, etc.
• Excel and outlook experience
