Food Quality Technician
Job description
Modest Family Solutions (MFS) is a BIPOC food supply chain system. MFS operates and runs a number of
community initiatives including food access pop up, culturally relevant food boxes, edible community gardens,
and youth programs.
We are looking for a Food Quality Technician that is able to assist in a range of food access initiatives within
the organization, and is passionate about the mission of Modest Family Solutions. This individual will oversee
Food Quality of the produce received and warehouse weekly. The Food Quality Technician will test and
inspect products at various stages to maintain quality and integrity. This position will maintain QA record
keeping, adjust inventory system, zero waste, and housekeeping programs in the Food Quality area. Food
Quality Technician will assist in community distribution with the purpose to ensure that all customers receive
produce that meets or exceeds their expectations

- Ability to write routine reports
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
- High School Diploma required
- Valid WA State Driving License
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 pounds regularly
- Able to pass background check
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous customer service experience and working
