Job Purpose:
The Formula Technician works with the Nutrition Services team to coordinate the general operations of food services according to sanitary regulations and hospital standards. Primary responsibilities include preparing, pouring and delivering formula, ensuring formula production sheets are updated, and maintaining an organized formula storage area. This position may also assist with coordinating various catering events as needed.
Schedule:
Looking for 2-3 weekdays per week, variable shifts from 8:00a - 4:30p. Approximately 16-30 hours weekly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Measures, mixes, delivers formula accurately and provides assistance to other formula techs.

Ensures all paperwork (formula labels, temperature logs, production records, formula ordering par levels) is maintained and communicates any deficiencies to the Nutrition Services Director. Monitors temperatures of formula refrigerators and formula; and maintains temperature logs.

Assists with catering set up and organization of events

Maintains clean sanitation practices to ensure State Health Dept Food Sanitation Guidelines are always met. Maintains clean and sanitary environment in formula room. Cleanliness, hand-washing, and clean/sanitized surfaces; checklist.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School graduate or GED. Ability to speak, understand, read and write English required.
Experience:
Food preparation or related work experience is preferred.
