Job description

The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is currently seeking to hire Member Service Specialists for our Downtown Eau Claire location. Individuals will be responsible for all Service Desk staff duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Opening and closing the building
• Member and guest safety
• Addressing member needs and complaints via phone, email, and in person
• Extensive knowledge of all YMCA of the Chippewa Valley programs and services
• Membership sales and services
• Member check-in, greeting of members, and monitoring all individuals who come to the Y
• Registration and sales of a variety of programs, classes and challenges
• Monthly team meetings

All positions must be available for alternating weekend shifts: Saturday 6am-4pm (all or part), Sundays 6am-2pm (all or part)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Available and dependable for shifts.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of computers.
• Trained in Daxko a plus.
• Must be punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.
• Positive attitude, good communication skills, team player, & professional. Enjoy being around people, reliable, & adaptable.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (within first 6 months of employment, paid for by the YMCA).
• 18 years or older.
