Job Title: Fuel Lab Technician
Location: Fort Rucker- AL
Reports to: Vanquish Supply Manager
Position Summary
Laboratory technicians must be knowledgeable of aviation and ground fuel characteristics and significance of Existent Gum, Corrosion effects, Oxidation effects, Particulate Matter, Additive content, Water Index, Commingling of Fuels, Adverse and benign sediment sources and types, Free Water & Dissolved Water. In-depth working knowledge of microbial growth indicators and identification of biological activity (i.e., fusaria). Knowledge of sampling techniques and uses of, to include all level, average, spot, upper, lower, middle, top, bottom, composite, siphon, drain, filter effectiveness, nozzle, contamination analysis unit, nozzle, and free water. Expertise in performing laboratory testing including ASTM methods. Expertise in operation of X-ray spectrometry, Karl-Fischer testing, FFIR spectroscopy. Lab must be C-1 Certified.
Minimum Requirements
· Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling loads up to 60 lbs. Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment.
· Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and meet Government/Army standards when applicable.
· Wearing safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g., gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, and other items such as aprons or outerwear as appropriate.
· Applicant must also possess and be able to maintain proper Clearance.
· Perform other duties as required to support the mission and contractual requirements.

· Excellent written and oral communications skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
· Work well in a team environment and able to work with a diverse group of people.

· Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Education and Citizenship Requirements
· Desirable: 05-06 years of experience w/High School Diploma or GED certificate
· Required: US nationality/citizenship and residence, with verbal and written fluency in English.
