The Neenah-Menasha Y is hiring Full-Time Youth Leaders to be in charge of a local elementary school Before & After Care program and help with summer day camp. The current opening is at Tullar Elementary School in Neenah.

The Youth Leader will oversee the Before/After school program at an area elementary school. Provides a variety of developmentally appropriate material and activities, which foster social skills and encourage children to think, problem-solve, question and experiment. Implements a daily schedule based on developmentally appropriate activities for school-aged children. Provides a quality experience for children and parents that reflect the YMCA's core values. Ensures that a safe, high-quality program is operating in accordance with required YMCA, YoungStar (when applicable), and Department of Children & Families regulations and policies.

Current Openings:

• Neenah Joint School District - Tullar Elementary

Hours: Monday-Friday approximately 6:00-9:00 AM and 2:30-6:00 PM at the school with administrative duties during the weekday between before/after care program operations; 40 hours/week. Summer duties would include helping with the Summer Day Camp program and getting school sites closed for summer and opened back up for fall

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum 3 credits equivalent to education or a related field –or- have completed 80 hours of correspondence courses. Have had at least 80 full days or 120 half days of experience in a licensed child care center or other approved early childhood setting. Young Star Sites – Have earned at least 2 years of credit at an institution of higher education that includes 3 credits in education or related degree –or- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related degree.
