Job Summary:
Due to our massive growth, we are seeking a high-performing individual for a newly created role as a Fundraising & Development Associate. This role will have the potential to grow into a Development Director role within 6-12 months of demonstrated successful fundraising and grants management. This is a hybrid, full-time role with expectation of 50% in-office and 50% remote work. Salary has potential for significant increases to salary after 6-12 months of demonstrated effective fundraising. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual ready to hit the ground running and make a big impact on the lives of others. A positive attitude and desire to build lasting relationships in the community is a must.
Ideal candidate must come in day one with past experience in donor management, procurement and individual and corporate direct gifts. Some degree of fundraising events management and planning also required. A willingness to learn and assist on the grants side is necessary, but past grant experience is not required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for raising funds through special events, individual & corporate giving, grants & other income sources utilizing the implementation of best practices.
- Utilize Organization’s Manage Donor Management System to effectively track, follow-up with, acknowledge and grow donor contributions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor plans to meet fundraising goals. If necessary, be prepared to develop a contingency plan to successfully meet fundraising goals and complete activities.
- Implement local fundraising events including securing sponsors & recruiting fundraising participants. Recruit, train & supervise volunteers.
- Oversee and manage event project timelines. Monitor and prepare ongoing event progress reports. Evaluate event results and use analysis to prepare recommendations for future events as needed.
- Work closely with local partners and grow community partnerships whenever possible.
- Collaborate with marketing and website / social media contractors to ensure consistent and effective messaging and community donor procurement.
- Provide recommendations for area development budget & innovative ways to accomplish goals. Submit timely program reports.
- Assist the Executive Director in grant management and reporting tasks.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, or related field required or equivalent experience and education combination.
- Minimum of one years’ not for profi fundraising experience including special event planning and management, individual & corporate giving.
- Grant procurement / grant writing experience preferred.
- Must be very comfortable fostering personal relationships with donors and representing the organization in a professional manner at all times.
- Experience with non-profit budget building and management.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficient in social & digital media.
- Able to work with minimum direct supervision, make decisions, and take initiative.
- Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships across a diverse population.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and have some experience with CRM database systems.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and your own reliable transportation with the ability to travel.
- Must be comfortable working in a hybrid office role. Expectation is initially 50% in-office and 50% remote work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
