Starting Pay Rate - $23.00 - plus shift differential and premium

Job Description

Under direction, safely performs routine and non-routine maintenance to troubleshoot, clean, repair, move, install, and maintain a variety of furnaces throughout facility. Sample duties may require electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electronics, basic design, masonry, welding, and fabrication skills. Requires the ability to effectively utilize written and computer-accessed work orders, diagnose problems, and recommend future repairs. May operate forklift, man-lift, welders, torches, powered and unpowered hand tools and other similar equipment. Responsible for quality of work and to appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions. Willingly modified work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs. All other duties as assigned. May require successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, reading and understanding English language work instructions

Preferred Education: A two-year technical or equivalent degree

Minimum Skills/Experience: one year in similar position, mechanical aptitude, effective computer use , basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Above plus - three to five years of relevant experience, Strong Computer and math skills, one year on the job instruction and/or apprenticeship programs and strong

mechanical aptitude as demonstrated through success at increasingly more complex assignments.

Functional Requirements

Routinely able to:

• Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reaching forward, reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, crouching, and bending
• Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck
• Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks
• Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• See, inspect, handle, and evaluate product quality
• Read and understand written English language work instructions
• Work in non-climate controlled environments, including hot and humid conditions
• Climb ladders and stairs of varying heights
• Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by LSI
