Job Title: Gatekeeper Running Rebels Meal site

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employment Status: Part time

Reports To: Meal Program Manager

General Description

The Gatekeeper is a member of the meal services team and is responsible for managing security, and assisting with cleaning before, during, and after meal program services to ensure the program is run efficiently and effectively. The work is completed each day with the assistance of a team of volunteers.

This is a part-time position Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM

• Open/manage the door for meal guests, volunteers, and staff.
• Receive and assist with deliveries and donations.
• Provide security prior to and during meals; ensuring a safe, respectful environment for all.
• Patrol halls, bathrooms, and outdoors maintaining crowd control.
• Prepare bleach buckets for dining room area.
• Prepare mop buckets for kitchen, dining room, and bathroom.
• Take out garbage and recyclables at the end of the meal service.
• Properly clean and sanitize all restrooms.
• Help maintain overall cleanliness of building.
• Assist in closing the meal site; ensure building is secure.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Effective customer service skills and the ability to work respectfully with a diverse group of meal guests.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Wages & Benefits

• Hourly wage of $15.00
• PTO days (pro-rated)
