Ensuring Chart’s Success…
Chart's Generalist position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products. Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in our General Laborer positions on both shifts. Overtime is periodically required. This position will be responsible for blasting/grinding and assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions.
Day Shift (Monday-Friday 5:45am-2:15pm)
Night Shift (Monday-Thursday 2:45pm-12:45am) *Night shift is eligible for additional $2/hour shift differential
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Blast and grind plate for internal customers
- Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing)
- Maintain required production and inspection records
- Operating cranes and forklifts
- Assist with the assembly of vessels
- Blasting, grinding and painting
- Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing
- Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Your Education Should Be…
High School diploma or GED
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- Understanding and use of basic blueprints preferred
- Familiar and comfortable with hand and power tools
- Ability to use and understand various measuring devices
- Computer skills, familiar with navigating a web browser
- Readily takes action on challenges and with a “can do” attitude
- Identifies and seizes new opportunities
- Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions
- Attentively listens to others
- Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences
- Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding
