We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, organized, and experienced individual to join our team as the General Manager responsible for leading and managing the restaurant. In this position, you would be overseeing restaurant marketing strategies, recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, food quality, developing menus as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests. The ideal candidate has had experience managing a facility that has an average revenue of $2,000,000 to $4,000,000 a year.

Responsibilities:

▪ Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
▪ Deliver superior guest services, ensuring guest satisfaction
▪ Plan and develop guest loyalty programs
▪ Plan new and update existing menus with the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef
▪ Plan new and update existing drink menus with the Bar and Restaurant Manager
▪ Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy
▪ Participate at local food events
▪ Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
▪ Organize and supervise shifts/supervising daily shift operations
▪ Manage and lead staff
▪ Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees
▪ Manage roster on PLCB
▪ Track staff certificates and when they must renew RAMP, ServeSafe…
▪ Training and evaluate staff performance
▪ Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory
▪ Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
▪ Approve the beverage orders prior to them being placed
▪ Manage restaurant supplies
▪ Control operational costs and identify ways to cut and minimize waste
▪ Nurture a positive working environment
▪ Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions
▪ Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales
▪ Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
▪ Continue to improve the company policy
▪ Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
▪ Maintaining safety and food quality standards
▪ Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
▪ Organizing schedules including events
▪ Keeping track of employees’ hours and determining when to send staff home
▪ Recording payroll data and approving timesheets
▪ Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed

▪ Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
▪ Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
▪ Learn Toast POS, become the go to person for all Toast POS questions, and be able to train others to use it

Requirements and Qualifications:

▪ Experience in event planning
▪ Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
▪ Good financial management skills
