EXPERIENCED GENERAL MANAGER

We are looking for a Marriott Experienced General Manager to lead our Team in Bakersfield, CA. ! This is an exciting opportunity, as we continue to add new hotels to our portfolio.

Job Description

As the General Manager you will be responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel. Working directly with the Management Team to manage all activities of the property including Operations, Revenue Management, Maintenance and Sales.

· Resolving guest related issues in accordance with the company goals.

· Direct and manage the hotel operation to achieve maximum profitability, ensure guest satisfaction, protect the financial assets of the business, and maintain the building.

· Responsibilities include directing and managing property operations to insure optimum performance and continual improvement.

· The GM will oversee HR matters including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching/counseling, and performance management.

· Responsibilities also include, ensuring that quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel.

· This position is also responsible for other duties as assigned, or as needed.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as a Hotel General Manager required.
• Marriott Experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects Marriott and company standards.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Ability to travel to attend meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.
• May be required to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clear, concise written and oral communication skills.
• Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced working environment.
• Be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with computers including Word and Excel.

Pay: $61,015.00 - $67,606.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Hotel management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Hospitality: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
