Have you heard?!? Taco John’s is coming to Southern Ohio and now is your chance to get in on the ground floor! Meritage Hospitality Group, one of the nation’s premier restaurant operators and the newest Taco John’s franchisee is seeking a full-time Restaurant General Managers for our first Taco John’s restaurant being built in West Chester. Meritage has an exclusive multi-state development agreement with Taco John’s and plans to open at least 50 new restaurants over the next few years, with a likelihood of ultimately opening several more. We need leaders with experience in the food industry and a passion for growth and development.
What You’ll Do
As a General Manager, you will help oversee opening activities and operations for one of the newest Taco John’s restaurants, including training new management teams and crew members, and ensuring a strong opening and ongoing operations in the first Taco John’s restaurant in the market. As one of the first GMs with the Meritage family of Taco John’s, you will have the unique opportunity to travel across the country with your fellow GMs for a multi-week training with Taco John’s training restaurants. We will make sure you get the best training and feel as prepared as possible for this new brand launch in our community!
Responsibilities of the General Manager include but are not limited to:

• Lead the restaurant management team to meet sales and budget goals
• Monitor tasks performed by employees to ensure compliance with Quality, Service, & Cleanliness programs
• Ensure proper training and compliance
• Manage food, labor, and paper costs as well as other controllable expenses
• Make decisions regarding the hiring and termination of employees
• Attend meetings requested by the District Manager or Area Director
• Develop restaurant operation skills and grow within the organization

In this position, you’ll need the following qualifications:

• Have strong leadership, organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Have 3 or more years of supervisory experience, preferably within quick service restaurants
• Be able to perform all duties of restaurant staff
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent
