The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is actively recruiting a full time General Physiatrist with a primary location of THD/Presbyterian Hospital providing care in the inpatient rehab unit. The Department of PM&R includes over 40 board-certified physiatrists, as well as 33 residents and 3 fellows. We have busy inpatient and outpatient practices at UT Southwestern as well as at our teaching county hospital, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and Texas Health partner facilities. Practice opportunities abound in integrated clinics with fellow faculty members. The ideal candidate will have experience in general physiatry.

Qualifications: The position requires a doctorate in medicine from an accredited university. Preferably, the candidate will have 3-5 years physiatry practice experience. In addition, the selected candidate must have or be able to obtain a Texas Medical License, must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full time schedule.

Duties include: Providing direct inpatient care activities at primarily THD/Presbyterian Hospital, UTSW hospitals as needed, and potentially in THD/Presbyterian outpatient clinic as it is developed. Potential other location is Parkland Health and Hospital System; there will be expectations to participate in medical student, resident and fellowship training, research activities, and departmental and institutional involvement.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
