PALCO, A Western PA distributor of Kohler Power Systems is seeking an entry level - Maintenance Service Technician for Residential and Industrial generators throughout Northern West Virginia.

The Exclusive Kohler Power System Distributor for Western PA and West Virginia!

1 to 2 years minimum generator start-up, diagnosis and repair experience on Industrial Generators, Transfer switches and switch gear. Kohler experience a plus but not required.

Must be 25 years of age for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently diagnose and repair prime power and stand-by electrical power installations in both multiple or parallel operation.
• Understand and have a working knowledge of automatic start and stop controls, safety shutdowns, switch gear, circuit breakers, and control panels.
• Independently and successful diagnose, repair, rebuild and maintain diesel and gas engines.
• Performed work on generators and component parts in various environment and working conditions.
• Safely assemble and disassemble equipment and component parts according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Accurately complete service reports and provided the details to complete work orders.

The successful candidate will provide electric power generator service and industrial service to our customers. The successful candidate must possess appropriate training and relevant work experience on electric power generators systems and industrial engines to successfully diagnose, repair, and complete technical startup of diesel and gas generator sets, transfer switches, and switch gear.

Must be dependable, a self-starter, capable of working with little direct supervision, motivated, detail oriented and customer friend

- Working knowledge of Generator Power Systems

- Possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record

- Strong electrical and mechanical background

The successful candidate will possess their own tools to be functional for the position.

Typical shift is M-F 800am-500pm, but may require on call for nights and weekends.

To be successful, you must be a self-starter, willing to work beyond the "8 - 5 schedule", and make sure the customer comes first with the understanding that customer service is the #1 priority.
