Job description
- Provides genetic consultation to patient and/or family regarding inherited cancer predisposition.
- Facilitates DNA testing.
- Discloses and interprets DNA testing results.
- Maintains appropriate documentation at all times.
- Works comfortably cooperatively and professionally as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintains current body of knowledge.
- Maintains professional standards.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $69,201.60 - $110,718.40 Annually
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Master's degree in genetic counseling required.
- Experience: None required.
- Licensure: Certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or eligible. Certification required within 12 months of hire date. Licensed to practice genetic counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
