Georgia Connections Academy is a tuition-free, full-time virtual school for students in grades K-12 throughout Georgia. The school is authorized by the Georgia Charter Schools Commission and governed by an independent Board of Directors, with a mission to maximize academic achievement for students who are seeking other academic options. The school is operated by Georgia Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Georgia, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Connections Academy, a division of Connections Education, is accredited by AdvancED, and GACA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
Working from the office in Duluth, GA, the State Testing Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily administrative tasks related specifically to State Testing such as contacting testing sites, scheduling testing events, negotiating contracts, working with IT depts. at testing sites to properly update/install testing platform, answering phones and email, assisting the Director of State Testing with administrative tasks, organizing and analyzing data efficiently in Microsoft Excel, filing and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Entering data into the online student information system;
- Generating reports;
- Answering the phones;
- Scheduling testing events;
- Speaking with testing site IT personnel and vendors;
- Assist Director of State Testing with a wide variety of daily responsibilities; and
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong technology skills (especially with Google Office and web-based applications)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
