OVERVIEW
This role will have responsibility for global travel operations and the firm’s corporate card program and may be based in either London or New York

The role leads the global travel and corporate card program, with responsibility for leading the supplier relationship management and the governance for supplier performance. The successful candidate will define, monitor and measure the expected requirements in terms of relationship, performance, quality and delivery of the strategic suppliers.

The successful candidate will also lead the creation, execution and management of the global corporate card program. In addition they will optimise card rebate and negotiate card deals. They will establish supplier governance, analysis of card acceptance rates, and remedies and correct card service issues and compliance of card use

The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders within Office Operations, Finance, Compliance and the Events Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain the travel risk process and maximize usage of ISOS
  • Responsibility for all online booking tools throughout the company the travel technology (e.g. AmEx apps, ISOS, Concur expense).
  • Developing and implementing Amex insight tool to provide relative online reporting for the business.
  • Develop and manage passport and visa relationships with CIBT and evaluate the process to ensure that we streamline the process and minimize risk to the business
  • Ensure that the travel programs is supported by the correct strategic travel and meetings suppliers (agency, air,hotel, ground, security etc.) and formally manage the relationship via SLA’s/KPI’s
  • Develop and implement communication channels to travelers and that they have accessibility to key information
  • Develop and manage Sustainability Programs for travel
  • Own the travel and corporate card program
  • Develops a strong partnership with key stakeholders and teams both internal to KKR and with the Strategic Suppliers
  • Own all elements of risk associated with the programs, including associated mitigation plans, also ensures timely resolution of the issues that are escalated by the functions and strategic suppliers. Ensure root cause identification and elimination
  • Drives improvements & change with Travel and card programme
  • Ensure implementation of any key outcomes from any audit findings
  • Influence and drive the implementation of best practices processes within Travel and card programme
  • Establishes Global Supplier Governance including relationship management and operations management, control and develop excellence of service across T&E programs
  • Ensure regular benchmarking for air and hotel, ground transportation programs
  • Establish KPl's to ensure effective control of travel spend
  • Work in partnership with Finance and Compliance to provide reports for traveler behavior and controlling spend
  • Drives increased adoption of e-booking and Concur T&E apps and utilization across the globe
  • Ensure the booking tool is being proactively developed and managed by the TMC
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful track record as a corporate travel and expense manager with a minimum of 15 years’ experience
  • Strong relationship building skills, vendor management and negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs and currencies
  • Knowledge of T&E reporting and processing and expense policy management
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and CTM/GDS solutions
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • An analytical mind with a strong business acumen
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Prior experience working on an international travel program preferred
  • Prior experience running RFP processes preferred
