Join us as the Global Pricing & Access Lead- Pipeline GI at the Director level in our Cambridge, MA office. As the Global Pricing & Access Lead- Pipeline GI, you will lead the identification and prioritization of strategic opportunities to enhance and expand product value proposition (payers, prescribers, patients, and policymakers) for product/s, including life cycle management opportunities for the GI Liver Pipeline, and collaborate with relevant colleagues across Takeda and in assigned Global Product Teams (GPT) to address such opportunities.
How you will contribute:
- Provide expertise in market access with an understanding of the role and influence of market access in product development and lifecycle management.
- Identify future trends in market access and develop strategies within Global Pricing and Access (GPA) and Takeda to ensure the strategy for the product/s are adapted to maximize the value of the product.
- Understand and apply the payer-relevant outcomes as it applies to the GI therapy area to support development plans to support sustainable patient access.
- Address product/s related payer, HTA and policymaker demands and respond to emerging or unforeseen market opportunities/challenges.
- Be the primary contact 'one voice' responsible for all product interactions within respective Global Product Teams (GPTs), representing the GPA community.
- Lead the development of the global value proposition, market access plans, value proposition and other market access deliverables of products in scope, working within GPA and partners in a matrix environment.
- Capture patient and payer insights, market trends, competitor landscape and Takeda priorities into product Access strategies.
- Work with Global Pricing, Global Health Economics and Patient Advocacy leads for understanding of product/strategy.
- Represent the product /s in scope ensuring agreement of strategy and operations resulting in delivery of outputs and resource to meet the needs of the product/s and BD/Pipeline/Franchise.
- Co-create and collaborate with Regions the development of market access strategies of the product/s.
- Work with Regions Access teams to provide insights and requirements for the product/s ensuring their input is gained for strategy development from these respective geographies and areas of expertise.
- Be a driver of providing Access capabilities training for colleagues within GPA and other partners.
- Take an important role in interactions with external partners to advocate the value of product/s.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- University degree required, advanced degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MPA, PharmD)
- 10+ years of market access (or relevant) experience with understanding of pricing, reimbursement and access strategies in relevant geographic markets
- Experience collaborating with commercial, medical and R&D teams on appropriate pull-through strategies
- Experience identifying growth opportunities and driving an organization to capture value
- Identify product value proposition addressing the needs of multiple partners
- Developed collaboration skills, including agreement building, information sharing, and communication of priorities and expectations across departments in a matrix environment
- Act decisively in making decisions with limited information
- Assess complex issues, evaluate potential solutions with both quantitative and qualitative analysis and develop strategic plans that gather support
- Identify main risks to programs, workstreams and strategies, and minimize/ manage them
- Experience with important Health Economics and Health Technology Appraisal principles, and familiarity with P&R dossiers (e.g. AMCP, Global / Core Value Dossiers):
- Use knowledge of marketplace and economic forces to translate long-term strategy into clear short-term plans and goals, with a focus on execution, accountability and acting with integrity.
- Understanding of geographically relevant P&R processes and HTA/payer environment
- Experience with pharmacoeconomic and epidemiology
- Frame HTA strategies and arguments and be able to convert evidence into clear value messages
- Capabilities in assessing clinical development plans and identify payer evidence needs/ gaps for the purpose of reimbursement and pricing discussions
- Occasional international travel required
