Job description
Welcome to the NOAA OMS/GOES-R Maintenance Registration Page!
_*Overview_*
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) management team has determined that the Geostationary Observational Environmental Satellite R Series (GOES-R) Maintenance functions will transition to the NESDIS Operations, Maintenance and Sustainment (OMS) contract. Earth Resources Technology (ERT) is the contract holder of the NESDIS OMS contract. The OMS contract is in the second year of a 10-year contract and will run until 2031. We are currently seeking to identify incumbents from the GOES-R contract and other highly qualified candidates who are interested in joining our Team. We anticipate that the GOES-R Maintenance task order will begin on or before July 31, 2023.
_*Description_*
The OMS contract is a single-award, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The OMS contract supports several NOAA satellites and support systems including GOES-NOP, POES, NJGS, ESPC, Mission Support LAN, and others. Maintenance support for GOES-R Series is being added to the OMS contract soon. The OMS GOES-R Maintenance team will work with NOAA/NESDIS and the GOES-R Sustainment team (under separate contract with a different company) to form a unified and seamless team.
Maintenance functions including preventive and corrective maintenance will be carried out under the OMS contract. The maintenance team will be responsible for ensuring that the overall system continues to meet scientific, technical, functional, and performance requirements in addition to availability and reliability requirements.
