On-Site Technician

Job objective or overall purpose statement

To deliver accurate results in a timely manner for customers.

Summary of Position

NDGI's technician/sampler facilitate the testing of grain through various equipment and laboratory tests. This position requires flexibility in hours with busier times requiring potential overtime to get all work for the day completed.

Hours are variable and there is not a limit on the amount of overtime that can be made. Starting wage is $16 per hour. Hours worked on Saturday are paid at time and a half & hours worked on Sunday are paid double time.

List of duties or tasks performed critical to success:

• Run qualitative tests on grain
• Daily cleaning and organizing of lab areas

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to maintain accurate work records with legible handwriting
• Ability to work overtime & different shifts
• Must be able to work in grain dust conditions
• Ability to perform tasks with repetitive motion
• Must have ability to multi-task while staying organized
• Must be able to be on your feet for entirety of shift, when needed
• Handling/touching of various agricultural products
• Reliable work attendance is a must
• Will be required to take technician/sampler licensing test through the USDA within 30 days of hire. On the job training and study material provided so no experience is required!

Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour

Typical open hours are 5am – 9 pm. (Occasions that customer needs to run 24 hrs.)

Benefits are available after 4 months of working. At your 4 month mark, we measure how many hours you worked. If you averaged 130+ hours per month in your first 4 months of employment, you will be eligible for benefits. Benefits include:
