About This Role:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include the financial administration and accounting of grants and contracts awarded in the College of Education by Federal and Non-Federal sources. This position will report to the Associate Dean for Research and External Funding.

Additional duties include but at not limited to:
Prepares new and continuing grant budgets in a variety of formats. Develops, implements and maintains a budget spreadsheet template and budget narrative template for use by PIs and projects in the College.
Monitors, interprets, analyzes, and reconciles financial data for sponsored programs.
Provide support for the development of budget justifications and cost sharing commitments.

Prepares and analyzes financial reports and invoices, data and records, identifies discrepancies, investigates, and recommends solutions as needed for accuracy and compliance on sponsored grants and contracts.
Advise faculty and staff, and provide training as needed in interpreting and adhering to sponsor and University policies, guidelines, and regulations.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree and one to three years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated high skill level in word processing, spreadsheets, and other software programs including but not limited to: People Soft, Microsoft Office, Perceptive Content and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Experience working with federal grants
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, University, State, Federal, and/or Non-Federal rules and regulations related to sponsored programs (i.e. Uniform Guidance, governmental cost accounting practices and principles)
Experience working in post-secondary education
Demonstrated ability of reading, comprehending, interpreting, and applying complex language such as legal or government regulations and proposal guidelines
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to exhibit professional judgment, problem-solving, time management, decision making, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing, with high attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and high volume of work with deadlines
