Under the guidance of the YMCA Camp Moody Property Director, the Groundskeeper is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding Camp Moody. Mows, trims, prunes, and maintains the grounds at the Camp Moody location. This position will also assist with set and teardown of events as well as housekeeping services. This is a part-time position at Camp Moody YMCA Center in Buda.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience

Availability: We are looking for applicants that are available to work up to 28 hours per week: Monday – Friday 8 am-1 pm, some weekends required

What are the details?

• You perform basic landscaping duties which include mowing and weed-eating
• You prune and cut down vegetation that are posing a danger
• You will maintain our trails
• You perform custodial duties

What you bring to the Purpose:

• Education and Experience: You are a minimum of 21 years of age. You are able to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds. You can perform physical labor for prolonged periods outside in various weather conditions. CPR and First Aid must be obtained within 30 days of employment. You have knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance of the following equipment:
  • Mowers/Weed-eater
  • Chainsaws
  • Lawnmowers
  • Power equipment and tools
  • Trimmers
  • Tractor
