As a Group Travel Sales Representative in the Group Travel department, your primary job will be to grow revenue and customer base by selling Rustic Pathways programs to schools, parents, and student groups.
Job Responsibilities

  • Build revenue pipeline lead volume sufficient to meet your sales targets. Advance opportunities with new customers and repeat customers through persistence and identifying their unique needs. Lead virtual and possible on-site product demonstrations for customers.
  • Network and build productive relationships with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students. Identify and form strategic partnerships to align with sales strategy.
  • Use sales tactics to close deals with the ability to genuinely listen to customer needs, adapt program parameters to fit, and negotiate pricing. Support school administrators and teachers to generate interest among their community’s families, and enroll students in their programs.
  • Drive customer experience, retention, and renewal. Directly support customers by responding timely to inquiries. Collaborate within Rustic Pathways to ensure top-notch customer service and a unified sales approach, working closely with marketing, operations, administration, and customer service teams.
  • Be the leader among competitors for your customer base. Know the trends in education & development among your target communities.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals by booking group travel trips and virtual programs. Monitor sales trends and customer activity, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an education environment, interacting with school administration (e.g., international student advisor, university recruiter, teaching language in a foreign country) preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales environment or customer service preferred.
  • Knowledgeable and networked among schools in your sales territory preferred.
  • Passion for international travel and learning, with experience in education sales and student travel (as a student or leader).
  • Appreciation for diversity in cultures and experiences. Understands the value of experiential education and travel.
  • Strong self-motivation, working grit, and determination. Outgoing nature with high likeability. Adaptable and flexible personality.
  • Quick on the feet, while exuding confidence and authority in decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with school administration, connect with students, and bring excitement and energy to the group.
  • Willing to work non-traditional business hours from time to time to accommodate work hours across the world.
  • Interested in a fast-paced, rapidly developing role with opportunities for growth and change.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Clear and concise presence on phone, social media, and email communication.
  • Ability to independently set own work priorities and schedules aligned with company goals.
  • Up to two months of domestic and or international travel annually to visit customers, trail programs, conduct sales presentations, familiarize with products, and attend company training is required.
