Position Summary: The following provides a detailed description for the position of Part-Time Gym Staff. Actual duties may vary slightly. The Part-Time Gym Staff has responsibility for effectively assisting with membership sales and promotions, facility maintenance, and ensuring that the facility is running efficiently and in compliance with all Snap Fitness policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Membership Sales and Promotions

• Assist with tours, telephone inquiries, outreach, and lead generation

• Assist the Store Manager in completion and promotion of special events as instructed

• Assist the Store Manager in implementation of the monthly game plan to ensure the completion of all goals and objectives for the facility

• Maintain proper and clear records of gym membership sales as well as a proper and clear workspace for all Snap Fitness employees

• Work with Personal Trainers to ensure that customers are being contacted for fitness consultations

• Complete equipment orientations with new and current customers
• Commission on "Upgrade Membership" Sales possible

Facilities

• Assist Gym Staff with the completion of daily cleaning tasks and routine gym maintenance

• Complete daily facility inspections to ensure the cleaning and maintenance is at an acceptable level

Required knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:

• Organized and detail oriented

• Responsible, punctual, orderly and overall good attitude

• Professional appearance

• Able to communicate with other employees and Managers

• Friendly in dealing with customers and potential customers, tolerant and helpful when assisting customers

• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly, as well as handle and resolve customer conflict in a professional, tactful manner

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.

• Knowledge of standard office procedures and the ability to perform basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Snap Fitness software

• Ability to promote, sell, and close contracts

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.75 - $9.50 per hour

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
