Part time, Saturday mornings, approx 2 1/2 hrs/week

SUMMARY

The Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for the teaching of gymnastics/tumbling skills and supervision of students.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Must be 16 years old
• Must have previous instruction and experience in the gymnastics/tumbling/cheerleading field.
• Must be self-motivated and responsible.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to teach a variety of levels in a group setting.
• Ability to deal with residents, staff and job responsibilities under stressful conditions.
• Ability to control children within a classroom setting.
• Must be able to respond to and handle children’s behaviors in a positive appropriate manner.
• CPR/First Aid certification, preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:

• Provide participants with general information regarding the expectations and format of the classes.
• Provide a fun and safe environment to learn the essentials of various gymnastics/tumbling skills.
• Updates class attendance sheets every day classes meet.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrate various gymnastics/tumbling moves.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with subordinates, co-workers and the general public.
• Participates at required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Wears appropriate attire during working hours.
• Carry out the directions of the Athletics Coordinator.
• Treats public complaints and concerns with the utmost attention. Is courteous in all cases.
• May perform other duties as necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Weekends only
