We are seeking a Health Center Administrator to provide overall administrative direction and oversight for policies, procedures and operational activities of Duke Children’s and Internal Medicine North Durham. This position is responsible for enhancing clinical care and operational processes to improve patient safety, clinical quality, operation efficiency and creative problem solving. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations.

This position reports to the PDC Regional Director and collaborates closely with clinic medical directors and providers, as well as with other members of administration and service line leaders. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a large network of other Health Center Administrators throughout the PDC, along with numerous opportunities for professional development offered by the PDC. This position is primarily M-F 8am-5pm. The practice is open 8:00am - 12:00pm Saturdays.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Ensure successful day-to-day clinical operations and delivery of clinical services at Duke Children’s and Internal Medicine North Durham. The practice includes primary care pediatrics, internal medicine, adolescent and young adult medicine, residency programs, healthy lifestyles, CANMEC and behavioral health.
  • Coordinate the human and material resources of the clinic
  • Coordinate methods to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Set and meet financial goals
  • Strive to satisfy all federal, and state laws and mandates, as well as adherence to The Joint Commission Standards
  • Collaborate with other services offered in the building.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a business or healthcare-related field.
  • Masters in Business, Masters in Nursing, or Masters Health Administration preferred
  • 5 Years of Experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Clinical management experience
  • Budget preparation and monitoring of expenses
