Health Equity Consultant I
Remote opportunity for residents of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah
Primary Job Purpose
The Health Equity Consultant I plays a key role on the Health Equity delivery team by coordinating and delivering on Cambia’s health equity strategy to improve equitable health outcomes for our members. Responsible for supporting health equity initiatives and projects through program coordination and administration, including data analysis, project management support and/or process improvement.
Responsible for delivering on competitive goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Competencies and Knowledge:
  • Experience implementing initiatives related to health equity, social determinants of health and culturally adaptable services
  • Experience collecting, analyzing and reporting on data to identify health disparities and handle health equity programs
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and cross-functional workgroups to ensure project objectives are obtained.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results with short deadlines and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to resolve issues and build consensus among groups of diverse stakeholders
General Functions and Outcomes
  • Works closely with health equity program leaders and stakeholders to ensure program goals are achieved
  • Performs program data collection, research, analysis and reporting in support of health equity programming
  • Assists in the development of health-equity focused, culturally-specific or – responsive trainings and provide technical assistance to teams in implementing processes and evaluation techniques
  • Coordinates and facilitate trainings and meetings with internal and external partners
  • Collaborates with health equity delivery team to develop program strategies, activities and data collection
  • Researches best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Prepares program communications and updates for distribution to various audiences
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
Health Equity Consultant I would have a/an Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field and two years of experience in supporting healthcare improvement initiatives, data analysis, or a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
