Your day.

As a Health Informaticist you need to know how to:

• Assist with electronic medical record (EMR) maintenance and optimization in joint venture with site end-users, directors, managers and IST analysts.
• Evaluate the workflow and Epic system integration and provide knowledge recommendation for enhancements and improvement.
• Provide communication of any changes in production, overall system upgrades or enhancements to ensure an effective flow of information through the organization.
• Builds collaborative relationships with clinical and ancillary areas to facilitate an integrated electronic medical record.
• Assess and identify risk and issues throughout all aspects of the EMR application.
• Evaluate EMR problems by completing a workflow observation and printing HIPAA compliant screen shots, completing a heat ticket, and submitting major request through the Informatics Leader.
• Research and provide analysis for other clinical applications as needed.
• Travel to other SCL Health care sites for projects and work-related activities.
• Promotes mission, vision and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
• Participate in 24/7 on site, remote and on-call support as directed.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Associate degree in Technology, Clinical field or 5 years relevant work experience, required. RN preferred. Relevant experience is defined as a minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Training, Project management.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• Experience developing training programs that relate to people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience preferred
• Hospital experience preferred.
