POSITION TITLE: Healthcare Data Analyst

HOURS OF WORK: As negotiated. Hours will include evenings and weekends.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, interpreting and reporting healthcare data to support effective operations and continuous quality improvement. The HDA is the lead team member for the CRBHS Quality Management Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborate with the CEO to ensure that all CRBHS healthcare data are collected and maintained in accordance with federal and state regulations governing the provision of healthcare services, including regulations specifically targeting the provision of behavioral health services.

2. Compile and organize health care data
3. Analyze data to assist in delivering optimal health care management and decision making.
4. Use health care data to achieve administrative needs and goals.
5. Investigate data to find patterns and trends.
6. Utilize different data sources for analyses.
7. Convert data into usable information that is easy to understand.
8. Develop reports, presentations and training materials.
9. Communicate analytic insights to management.
10. In collaboration with other QM team members, maintain the electronic health record by identifying and correcting invalid or outdated variables in the record.
11. Participate on the Coordination of Care team and contribute to the discussion about how best to provide, document and successfully bill for medically necessary health care services.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, accounting or relevant field or a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a healthcare data analyst or similar role. Successful candidates will understand healthcare business operations, data storage and data sharing methods. Finally, the successful candidate will have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively, excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
