Heavy Civil Project Engineer (Austin, TX area) - Austin Bridge & Road

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking Heavy Civil Project Engineers for a project in Taylor, Texas. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.
The Project Engineer is on the Project Manager career-track and assists the Project Manager and Project Administrator in a variety of engineering functions identified as procurement and expediting of construction materials.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement of materials
- Detailed estimation of costs on proposed changes
- Update of contract plans and master schedules
- Overall responsibility of submittals
- Responsible for tracking materials, project coordination and safety
- Analyze, review and update job cost information
- Process change orders as required by project owners
- Manage subcontractors
- Requests for information responses from owners and subcontractors
- Assists in the compilation of close-out documents, including drawings, guarantees, warranties and service manuals for delivery to the owner
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent preferred, but may be substituted by experience.
- 2-7 years’ experience in large heavy civil construction projects
- Experience working on heavy civil projects greater than $15M
- DOT and heavy civil design build experience is preferred
