Perform repairs on Class 8 trucks and complete periodic preventive maintenance on various vehicles, to ensure any problems are discovered and repaired, before they cause breakdowns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strong background in heavy-duty trucks
- Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on various models of Class 8 trucks and other equipment.
- Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience:
- Must have own tools
- Valid Driver's license
- Knowledge of Class 8 vehicles
- Knowledge of Air & Hydraulic brakes
- Knowledge of suspension
Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems
