Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is looking for a tech-savvy Help Desk Technician to be responsible for providing technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software.

To be a successful Help Desk Technician, you should be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Help Desk Technician Job Duties include:

• Manage inventory and lifecycle of systems
• Installing updates, patches and loading drivers on information systems
• Assisting with the operation and maintenance of IT systems/networks within a DoD environment
• Assisting IT lead with tasks as assigned
• Recording FAQ and SOP documentation for common issues and procedures
• Working with various teams for special projects as required
• Monitoring, inputting, tracking status, and updating ticketing system for various teams to track work assignment and progress
• Resolving IT tickets and providing IT support to over 150 end users ensuring the continued smooth operation of both unclassified and classified networks
• Perform NIPRNet and SIPRNet CST/CSL duties as required

Help Desk Technician Required Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Computer systems and installation knowledge
• Trouble-shooting user application issues
• Good problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and team-working skills
• Imaging, inventory, warranty execution, patching, and troubleshooting of endpoint systems
• Have a thorough understanding of how to manage workflow tracking systems and organize mid to high volume ticket tracking

Help Desk Technician Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma or College Degree
• 2 - 4 years of experience
• US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
