NRGUSA is looking for an experiened and licensed Hematology Supervisor for a facility located in Farmingdale, NY.

This is a full time position. Overnight shift with flexible hours. Salary varies by experience

NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license is required for consideration for this role.

Requirements:

• Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent
• At least 6 years experience as clinical laboratory technologist, qualifying as a NYSDOH Supervisor.
• NYSDOH Clinical Laboratory Technologist license

Duties:

• Directly supervise employees in the Hematology Department.
• Assign duties and work hours to subordinates
• Ensures that schedules are met
• Interview, hire, and train employees
• Schedule and approve vacation and personal days
• Approve overtime
• Planning, assigning, and directing work to employees in the lab, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Provide coverage for the department
• Perform all work and functions of a Medical Technologist as needed
• Provide bench work instructions
• Inventory Control
• Assign and monitor special projects for new employees
• Approve/reject work of subordinates
• Establish and maintain quality control criteria
• Supervise the performance of the technical personnel in the department
• Establish/modify technical procedures
• Review/approve all procedures in the department
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and follow up accordingly
• Reconcile all pending specimens
• Maintain the work load of the department
• Maintain safety policies and procedures
• Maintain the quality of work in the department
• Perform procedures in the department
• Schedule and approve vacation and personal days
• Approve overtime
